RAINY SUNDAY

Hi Everyone,
I hope my pictures are improving. They can only get better.
As it was raining, and I was inside, I decided to play with my stamps. I used the Stipple Rose again, and the bleaching technique. I love this technique. It's so easy and so nice to look at. The Stipple Rose stamp is great for this, and makes a beautiful card.
The card colours are Garden Green, Barely Banana, Whisper White, Certainly Celery and Rose Red. This combination is straight from the Stampin'Up Colour Wheel. If you have trouble with colour combinations, this is the best investment you could make. You will never have trouble matching colours again.
I used the corner punch to make the scalloped edge, and the small hole punch to decorate it.
The ribbons are the wide Certainly Celery and the narrow Certainly Celery, and White. I finished the card off with 3 eyelets in the top corner and a Happy Birthday greeting.

Stampin'Up has a great promotion for the month of September. If you purchase a specially selected stamp set, they will give you the matching Wheel set for FREE! If you would like to find out more about this great offer, please contact me and I will tell you all about it.
Hope you enjoy your Sunday.

KEEP IN TOUCH

Hi Everyone,
It's always nice to hear from someone you haven't spoken to for awhile, so why don't you send a 'Hello' card to some friends and surprise them. It will brighten their day and thats what handmade cards are for.
This card was made using the Stipple Rose stamp and bleaching technique.
I stamped the image using a Gold stamp pad and Gold embossing powder.
I then bleached the image using an aqua pen filled with household bleach.
This takes the colour out of the paper and gives a quick and very lovely effect to the card.
The card I used was Pretty in Pink, Perfect Plum and Whispering White.
I finished the card off with brads and the Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon.
The greeting is from our Anchored rub ons and is very easy to apply, and looks lovely.
Hope you like this card. If you would like any more information on this technique, or you have any questions, please contact me and I will be happy to have a chat.

BOLD BRIGHTS

Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to make my camera take better photos, but it has a mind of it's own, and doesn't want to cooperate. I will keep trying. I have learn't that perserverance pays off, so keep looking and you may get a surprise soon (better photos I hope).

Anyway, I had a bright day and wanted to use the bold brights colours as I don't use these as much as the other colours. I think sometimes you need to go out of your comfort zone and try something new.

The card is Pixie Pink, and the flowers were all made with the Spring Flower Bouquet Punch, and punched out with the Bold Bright colours. I did weaken and use Bashful Blue card from the Soft Subtles set and used the Petals Jumbo Wheel for the background. I used Diamond glitter for the centre of the flowers and Whisper White for the centre, to stamp your greeting on. I think this card would be nice for a get well card or maybe a young girls birthday.

All products used for this card are Stampin'Up products and if you would like to purchase them or ask any questions about them, please feel free to call me or email me anytime. Hope your week is bright.

TIME TO START CHRISTMAS CARDS

Before you know it, Xmas will be around the corner, and the mad rush will be on to make Xmas cards. So I thought I would get a head start and make some now.

This card is made with Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper white, layered on top of each other. I have used the corner punch to make the scallops, and the 1/16in circle punch to decorate the scallops. I love this effect, and it's so easy to achieve on your cards. The Real Red striped grosgrain ribbon finishes it of beautifully (love this ribbon).

The stamp I used is the tree from the Loads of Love stamp. I used Versamark ink and coloured it with Old Olive from the pastels, and added dazzling diamond glitter all over it ( although you can't see this easily from the photo).

The greeting is from the Many Merry Messages stamp set, and it is finished with brads.

If you would like to get a start on your Xmas Cards, organise a few friends and ring me to arrange a workshop at your house. We will do a couple of cards and have some fun using some of the many products that Stampin'Up have.

You can amaze your family when you give them beautiful, handmade cards for Xmas.

If you can't arrange this, then you may like to come to cardmaking classes on Friday mornings and enjoy the atmosphere, make some cards, and have fun.

LOOKS LIKE LIKE SPRING

Hello, and welcome.

I was having a 'wish it was warmer' day, and decided to make a card that made me feel like spring was not far away.

I used elegant eggplant card, and layered pretty in pink and whisper white. I drew a frame around the whisper white card using pretty in pink markers.
I stamped the large flower from 'Looks Like Spring' stamp in pretty in pink, and stamped a few leaves from 'Time well Spent' in old olive ink.
Stamp the flowers in pretty in pink, so saffron and elegant eggplant inks, and punch out using the Spring Flower Bouquet punch. Attach to card.
Use Elegant Eggplant and So Saffron paper with the Photo Corners punch and attach to the top corner.
The greeting used was from the 'For a Friend' hostess set, which you can earn for free when hosting a Stampin'Up workshop.

I hope you like this card and enjoy the thought of Spring, just around the corner.
